Madison No Fear Dentistry

Welcome Dr. Logan to Madison No Fear Dentistry

Dear Valued Patients,

It is with great excitement that I welcome Dr. Logan Van Hoof to our practice.   He will be joining us this summer!

As our practice continues to grow, I realize I need more help with my own patients.  To continue to give the best service possible, Dr. Logan and I will now be working together.  At Madison No Fear Dentistry, we always strive to provide the best experience for the patient, and this will allow us to continue to do so.

I have been fortunate enough to partner with Dr. Caitlin, Dr. Kevin, and Dr. Bob over the last few years.  Our doctors will continue to collaborate together as a team.  I have the utmost confidence in the quality of care that Dr. Logan will provide and believe the transition will be seamless as he mirrors our values and our mission.

I’ve personally known Logan since he was born, so I can attest to his character.  When I asked him to share his feelings about joining our practice, this is what he had to say: “I am very excited to be a new addition to the exceptional dental team at Madison No Fear Dentistry.   I look forward to building relationships with the patients, staff, and community of Madison.  Working together with the team, I look forward to providing you with a great dental experience.”

We are honored to have you as our patients and to serve you and your family.

Dr. David Ducommun

"I was so impressed with this office, that I actually wrote a blog post about them :)" Sher

Writing about my trip to the dentist today may be unconventional, but that makes it unique, right?  I fit into that category of folks who are extremely afraid of the dentist.  I would rather be eaten alive by zombies than have my mouth poked with needles and my teeth sawed down to practically nothing.

I actually get myself sick over worrying about the appointment before I even arrive.  Get me in that dental chair and I'm white-knuckled and wide-eyed.  That all changed today; however, and I want to tell the world about it.

I have had a painful, sensitive tooth and knew I needed an appointment, but was too afraid to find a new dentist here in Madison.  Last night a friend posted on her business page, Absolutely Art, that new art work was hanging up at Madison No Fear Dentistry.  What?  A dental office that displays local artists' work?  Time to investigate....

I made a call to them this morning and they were willing to get me in today.  I pulled myself together, took a deep breath at the door, and went inside chuckling to myself (let them try to take the fear out of me).

I was quickly checked in at the front desk by Kourtney, and only waited a few minutes before being taken back by Carley, one of the dental assistants.  Carley gave me a complete tour of the beautiful, modern facility.  This place is so amazing that I was silently wondering if there was a job opening.

Carley was very gentle and talkative.  She got some history and x-rays before the doctor came in.  I saw Dr. Kevin DeGroot (my new BFF) who was laid-back, kind and fully explained everything he was doing.  Dr. DeGroot fixed me right up with no "fear" whatsoever.  The two of them made me feel so relaxed that I forgot where I was, and almost asked them what we were doing tonight.

You don't even feel like a patient at this office.  The staff is so caring and treats you like a person, wanting to know about your life beyond your dental problems.   They really lived up to their name!

Now, let's get to the real perks (aside from the exceptional staff):

  • Complimentary WiFi and iPads
  • Keurig for brewing tea, coffee or hot chocolate
  • Warm or cold neck wraps
  • Eye masks
  • Tempur-Pedic chairs
  • LCD TV's
  • Apples and fresh baked cookies
  • Kids costumes
  • Hygienic warm blankets
  • Artist of the month

Yes, this is for real and I haven't even shared my favorite perk yet.  They actually make homemade bread to hand out to patients who want a loaf.  Kourtney handed me a loaf as I was checking out.  It was still warm, but I was the one melting.  Don't believe me?  The proof is in the photo.  Mmmm, so good

Now you see why I wanted to do a post about this special place?  It's still hard to believe that I look forward to my next appointment.  I never, ever thought that I would welcome going to the dentist.

I cannot recommend Madison No Fear Dentistry enough.  Check them out if you live in the area (I'm so sorry if you don't).  You will be happy you did and you're welcome.  Thanks so much Kourtney, Carley, Dr. DeGroot and Patti.  Until next time....
