Madison No Fear Dentistry Celebrates Recent Awards

This has been an exciting month for us!  First, we were humbled by the public's voting for the Wisconsin State Journal's Star of Madison Award naming Madison No Fear Dentistry as Madison's Best Dental Facility!  Then, Madison Magazine honored us again with the Top Dentist Award for Dr. Dave Ducommun.

The Star of Madison Awards winners are determined by the number of write-in votes on ballots submitted by Wisconsin State Journal readers and viewers. To see a full list of winners, visit

The Madison Magazine asked thousand of dentists- “If you had a patient in need of a dentist, which dentist would you refer them to?”  The Top Dentist 2013 is the result of this peer survey highlighting the Top Madison-Area Dentists.  The 2013 topDentistsTM  database is based on hundreds of detailed evaluations of dentists and professionals as voted upon by their peers. We want to share these awards with all our amazing patients and thank them for their continued support!

A key component that sets our practice apart is the integral role patients play in their own care.  Utilizing state-of-the-art cameras and above-chair computer screens, we spend a great deal of time educating each patient and getting to know them in-depth.  It's not unusual for an initial consultation to last between 90 minutes and two hours.

"By the time they leave their first appointment, they know as much about their teeth as we do," says Ducommun.  "They're empowered to make treatment decisions based on what they know, rather than on a blind recommendations by the dental team."

Madison No Fear Dentistry's team also focuses on getting to know the person behind the teeth, an essential component to recognizing and comforting fearful and anxious patients.  Backed by technology, an essential licensing that allows everything from sedation treatment to periodontal laser treatment under one roof--not to mention renewable energy, recycling, and other eco-friendly initiatives-- patients feel cared for and respected as well as 'part-of.'

"Our mission is to give them a great experience, not a 'cleaning,'" says Ducommun.  "Everything that we do, every decision we make, is so that we can improve the quality of our patients' experience."
